6 things that Apple improved in iPhone 5 Comparison

Comparing the new iPhone 5 with its predecessor, the iPhone 4S:

Larger:
To accommodate a larger screen the iPhone 5 has grown from 4.5 inches to 4.87 in height. The extra height allows another row of apps to appear on the page.

Faster:
The iPhone 5 employs the faster LTE wireless technology for quicker data connections. it also has the new A6 chip, which is twice as fast as the A5X chip in the iPhone 4S.

Wider:
In wide-screen format, that is. The resolution is now 1136x640, an 18% increase from the iPhone 4S. This allow movies to be played without letter boxing. The physical width of the phone remains the same at 2.31 inches.

Thinner:
The new iPhone 5 is 7.6mm thick compared with the 4S, which comes in at 9.3 mm.

Lighter:
At 112 grams, the iPhone 5 is 28 grams lighter, the equivalent of the weight of five quarters.

Smaller:
Apple is replacing its 30-pin connector with a smaller and more durable connector dubbed "Lightning."
